How do I move HESK to another server?
Moving your website to a new server or domain? You will probably want to move your help desk as well along with existing tickets.
If your hosting control panel allows backing up and restoring an entire web site, this is the recommended way of moving HESK.
However, if you want to manually move it, these are the recommended steps:
- Install a clean copy of HESK on the new domain. Make sure it's the same version as on the old server and working normally.
- Copy database contents from the old server using a tool such as phpMyAdmin that is supported by most hosting companies (use the Export function).
- Paste database contents to the new server. In phpMyAdmin you can execute the SQL code generated by the Export function on the old server.
